Assessments
Our assessments are designed to understand the person and their context so we can make recommendations that are fair, practical, and culturally safe.

Person-Centred
We place the person and their story at the centre of every assessment, taking the time to understand their strengths, needs, goals and lived experience within family, culture and community.

Trauma-Informed
Our assessments recognise the impacts of trauma and seek to minimise harm by creating safe, predictable processes, avoiding re‑traumatisation, and focusing on healing and hope rather than blame.

Strengths-Based
We look beyond presenting problems to identify existing strengths, resources and protective factors, using these as the foundation for realistic, constructive recommendations and support plans.

Evidence-Informed
Our assessment tools and frameworks draw on contemporary research, good practice guidance and legislative requirements, ensuring our conclusions are transparent, defensible and aligned with best practice.

Culturally Safe
We work in ways that respect and uphold cultural identity, with particular attention to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families, partnering with community and Elders to ensure assessments are culturally safe.

Safeguarding-Focused
Our assessments keep child safety and wellbeing at the centre, ensuring every recommendation considers risk, protection and the safest possible pathways for children and young people.
